2nd duet with Mariah on the way!                                                             27th Nov. 2001

Westlife are to record a second duet with Mariah Carey. The group will also sing with Mariah at the Top Of The Pops Awards on November 30. They will perform Mariah's song Never Too Far at the ceremony in Manchester. Westlife previously recorded Against All Odds with Carey earlier this year. Westlife's manager Louis Walsh told The Sun: "We reckon the duet's a great idea. Mariah asked the lads and they wanted to show their support as they know she's had a hard time lately. There was real chemistry when they worked on Against All Odds. We want to record with her again because it would be a great way to bolster her profile in the UK and introduce Westlife to the Americans." No decision on what the song will be has been made yet, but it is expected to be recorded early next year.

Shane wants to marry, and have children:                                                     30th Oct. 2001

Westlife hunk Shane Filan plans to be a dad within five years - and wants a big family. He says, "In five years time I'll be 27. I would honestly hope to be married by then and have at least one or two kids. Although having said that, I wouldn't marry someone unless I was going out with her for at least three of four years. I suppose, because I've grown up with a big family, I'd like four or five children, if my future wife is up to it. I'd hate to meet someone who didn't want kids. Even if I really loved her, it would be awful because I really love children."

Only 2 band members has a future in Pop!:                                          29th Oct. 2001

Manager Louis Walsh announced that he thinks that only 2 of the lads from Westlife will continue a career in the music bussiness... Shane Filan and Bryan McFadden. A couple days after this interview was made, there was a response from the lads, confirming this was not true! Shane said: "I won't go solo until I've a wife and kids like Ronan Keating."  So fans don't worry! We'll still see all the lads after Westlife!!
